Scientists found a huge ten-sided wave at Saturn’s south pole. They noticed it in images from the Hubble Space Telescope.
This wave lies inside a powerful jet stream. It passes through several layers of the atmosphere, not only through the clouds. One of its sides is already longer than 16,700 kilometres. The wave moves slowly eastward.
