A private jellyfish museum operates in the American city of Pompano Beach, north of Fort Lauderdale. According to the city and the museum’s founders, it is probably the first museum in the United States devoted only to these marine animals.
The museum opened in spring 2026. It has 21 aquariums, where visitors can see about twenty species of jellyfish from Florida waters and other parts of the world. They include moon jellyfish, Japanese sea nettles and spotted jellyfish.
